In their quest to optimize business processes and initiate the company’s digital transformation, FUNAT Laboratories carried out a thorough internal analysis that detected two types of problems: loss of information and lack of process control. These errors had their origin in the information systems that the company had implemented, specifically, in the ERP and its own developments.

After comparing the different technological solutions on the market, the management team at FUNAT Laboratories decided to implement the AuraQuantic intelligent business process management system (iBPMS).
The rapid implementation of AuraQuantic enabled FUNAT Laboratories to increase control throughout the organization, in a short period of time, including control of processes and productivity, thus improving customer satisfaction, sales and response times.
AuraQuantic iBPMS has enabled FUNAT Laboratories to define and simplify processes, establish business rules, provide traceability of many of its processes and have accurate information for decision-making. According to statements made by Diana Lorenza Zapata, head of Technological Infrastructure, AuraQuantic has made it possible to ‘have control over purchasing processes, enabling us to optimize inventories and have better management of the company’s purchasing needs. This avoids an overstock or shortage and improves control of the purchases of goods and services. ‘ Furthermore, ‘thanks to the partner who has supported this work, we have achieved visibility and traceability, in each of the processes implemented in AuraQuantic iBPMS, to improve performance and optimize processes’. We have achieved ‘integration of the various company areas, a functional process in which each individual has specific obligations and at the same time, is part of a single system, which facilitates access to information’.
Lucas Hernández Saldarriaga, Purchasing Director of FUNAT Laboratories, confirmed that ‘AuraQuantic has enabled us to automate processes that previously had a high percentage of manual activity, allowing us to simplify tasks, eliminate unnecessary processes and reduce approval steps. In such a way that it has been possible to optimize response times, ensure regulatory compliance, avoid fines and / or massive product overstock nationwide. Thus, we now have centralized purchases, as opposed to our previous system comprised of decentralized entities which could neither control nor monitor purchases.
All these results achieved from the implementation of AuraQuantic have made it possible for FUNAT Laboratories to drive its digital transformation process and experience continuous process improvement in terms of safety and efficiency. To such an extent that, today, FUNAT Laboratories processes over 700 orders (average/month) in the warehouse and purchase invoices, in an optimized way and without any type of incident.
